It is possible, that after the spin segment of the wash cycle, the machine will stop advancing. The wash light will be illuminated, and no flashing or error codes will be indicated.

A new two-step start routine has been implemented on legacy top load washers. Previously the washer would start with one press of the start button, but now it will require either a two-button press or turning the knob, then pressing start.

Will Not Run Cycle

It is possible that during or after the wash cycle the machine will become unresponsive with the wash light illuminated and no flashing or error codes indicated.

It is possible that when a service technician enters the service diagnostic mode and clears a fault that a cycle will not start when returning to normal operation.

Replacement tub assembly may look different than original.

New software has been installed on the models listed above to trigger an out- of-balance alert if the motor’s thermal protection is activated. The controls will display an out-of-balance error, which is also used with physical load out- of-balance conditions, as shown in the pictures below:

If both the Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Appliance Control Unit (ACU) boards are replaced at same time, the machine may not operate.
