Ice Build-up in Bottom of Freezer

36” FDBM product where the refrigerator compartment bottom crisper drawer may not open completely, or the left side of the drawer is hitting the door gasket when opening. Condition may be due to a shift of the refrigerator compartment liner.

The consumer may experience some or all of the following conditions Warm refrigerator compartment (RC) but freezer compartment (FC) is cold Ice growth appears between evaporator cover and bottom of RC liner but FC is cold Fast ticking or clicking noise coming from inside the RC and behind the crisper drawer (possibly fan striking ice build up) Low ice rates in door ice maker

Noise when customer opens or closes the refrigerator door, coming from the bottom on the product.

Under some conditions, including unlevel floor, cabinets not square, and/or the freezer door was reversed, the door liner may bind causing the freezer door to not fully close. It is possible the floor is unleveled.

Customers may report that their right-side door is misaligned, sagging, or has otherwise moved over time. This may occur for a variety of reasons, including that the doors are designed to be slightly different heights when the refrigerator is empty, in order to account for the weight of food that will be placed on the doors, uneven floors, or something blocking the hinges. The right-side door on these units may need to be adjusted after installation to ensure proper alignment.

Customer tries to dispense ice, can hear the motor running, but it does not dispense. Ice bucket maybe full, but unit not dispensing the ice. This could result from several causes including that the dispenser motor shaft may not be the proper one for the consumer’s product.

Proper Defrost Thermistor Placement

Ice buildup on Evaporator causing poor cooling and or No ice production.

It is possible that consumers might experience noise from door opening or closure and or Interior lights not coming on.
