It is possible that during ice maker operation, customers may experience abnormal sounds characterized as grinding or squealing coming from the water recirculation pump. Ice production may be reduced when this condition occurs.

Customers may report that the freezer light has stopped working in certain KitchenAid, Maytag, and Whirlpool French Door Bottom Mount refrigerators. In rare circumstances, the freezer LED Module and its connector may be foamed in, requiring the additional service steps below.

Aggressively closing the door may make the door hard to open due to the vacuum created.

Control board W11450890 is no longer available. A quality improvement requires the replacement of both the High voltage control board and the dispenser user interface.

There will be a manufacturing change to some Whirlpool refrigeration products which will occur in September and October 2017. This change will impact Side by Side and Top Mount refrigerators whereby the copper heat exchange will be replaced by an aluminum one. This change means that almost any sealed system failure on these models will require Lokring tools and parts to be able to complete the service repair.

In certain circumstances, consumers may experience warmer than usual temperatures in the refrigerator section, due to ice accumulation on the evaporator.

It is possible that some customers may experience a discoloration or delamination of the silver user interface (HMI). (This does not affect other colors).

It is possible that consumers may experience a build up of frozen water outside of the ice maker, fill tube, fill cup, and in the ice bin that may reduce ice production

It is possible that some consumers may experience a poor or no cooling situation, noisy evaporator fan or ice build up in the bottom of the freezer compartment.
