Service is often requested because ice cubes are sticking or clumping together. In a lot of the these cases there is no problem with the refrigerator or ice maker, it’s simply a matter of customer usage or ambient conditions. An explanation of the causes of this complaint are outlined below.

ADC’s, adaptive defrost controls – Ice may build up on evaporator over a period of time due to incomplete defrost cycles resulting in warm temperatures.

Refrigerator compartment temperature too cold.

Condenser fan motor starts and stops, runs slow or doesn’t run at all.

The heat exchanger is restricted or leaking.

Ice dispenser door continually opens and closes and/or user display flashes on and off intermittently.
